ROCK STAR Girls!

Getting glammed up like a ROCK STAR is some hard work! But someone has to do it. Emily and Allison attended a Hannah Montana birthday party this afternoon. Before today, I don't think they even knew she existed. We haven't quite gotten into "real" Disney characters yet. This mommy will stick with the princesses for a little longer ;-). The girls had a blast!! Especially Emily. She got to see her bestest friends from school and they picked right up where they left off - without missing a beat! They were treated to nail polish, make-up (complete with glitter powder), and hair. Happy 4th Birthday, Savannah. We had a great time!!

My girls don't really own anything that resembles a rockstar. They looked cute anyway!! (as usual)

She's here!! And she brought balloons to make animals, hats, swords, etc. Kate and Emily are super amazed!

Allison got a heart shaped balloon....imagine that!

Dancing with Hannah Montana - the girls really got into it!

Hannah also face paints. Who knew?

More Family Time

We had dinner at our house on Saturday night. Mimi, Gia, Pa, Aunt Lorrie, James, Ryan, and Andrew all came over. We all had a great time, but I'm betting that Emily and Ryan had the greatest time. Those two are inseparable when they are together. And they will be in the same grade in school. So will Allison and Andrew. Super cool!

Family Time

Oh Ethan. Cutest.boy.ever.

We have had a busy weekend with lots of family in town. My grandparents, Mimi, and the Chalmers (we miss you Howard) all got in town late Thursday evening. We have been going nonstop since everyone arrived. I've tried to keep the pictures in order, even though it seems a little jumbled.

I love these pictures of Ethan playing 'cups' with his great-granddaddy.

Me with my sweet grandmama. Love her!

Allison modeling an Auburn Princess dress made by Uncle Ted's mom. To see more of her work, please visit www.elizabethannoriginals.com or www.bebebethoriginals.etsy.com. I saw some samples the other night and they were all so cute. The girls also have the Disney princess pillows that Diane made. Those are on the website as well. Check it out - great gift ideas!!

Ted and his Allie B. They are going to get married one day.

One word: SASSY
Sweet summertime sisters!

War Eagle Cousins!

The Chalmers are in town this week for Camp Kiel. We have been so lucky to spend some quality time with them. We have had meals, gone swimming, and attended the Auburn Alumni Fall Kickoff Party. Pa and Mark took the 4 oldest cousins to the Auburn function. They got to see Aubie, the cheerleaders, Nova the eagle, a white owl, and lots of kid attractions. Everyone had a wonderful time and is gearing up for football season.

Emily, Ryan, Allison (during the day)

Nova - the eagle that currently flies prior to kickoff at all home games. This is my favorite part of the game!

The girls were SO happy to see the cheerleaders. This might have been Em's favorite part....real people!

Happy Birthday Daddy! (a little late)

Mark's birthday was earlier this month and I forgot to post our pictures. He bought us a new camera the day before and we were testing it out. I just found the box with the cord to transfer pictures. I'm used to my regular camera....... Anyway, our good friend, Kendall, also has the same birthday so he came over with his family and we cooked out and went swimming. Good times with good friends!!

so sad this is blurry....

The next morning....so nice and quiet!
Allison and mommy were still sleeping ;-)

Where is my baby girl?

My little Allison (2.5 yrs old) is growing up so fast this summer. She has definitely gotten taller and is starting to look like a big girl. What happened to my baby girl? She is still just as sweet and laid-back as ever. If one of her siblings wants something that she has, she gives it to them and then starts saying very loving words to them. She's my motherly child. Don't get me wrong, we still have a few temper tantrums! We are starting the potty-training process. I don't remember it being this tough with Emily. It wasn't. But she does tell me AFTER she goes....which is a start, right? She gets her swim diapers and pull-ups confused but that's ok. Sometimes the sitters do too, so when it's time to go to the pool she has to wear Ethan's BLUE (gasp!) ones. Insert tantrum here!! I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I have.

Here are today's photos:

Oh Boy!

Here are the pictures of the day!

Why he loves to wear his shorts on his head (never a hat, though) is beyond me. But he is the cutest boy in the world!

What being a MOMMY is all about - Love!

This post is for me to have to look back on in a few years. While Emily is having a date night with Pa tonight, I took the other two to dinner and we had a blast. Just me and my babies. After I put Ethan down, Allison and I had some quality time together. We watched a little bit of Hello Kitty Princess and just talked. I was laying with her in her bed as we said our prayers and sang our night-night songs, when out of nowhere she looked at me and said the most beautiful thing my ears have ever heard......"you're a good mommy." Yes, she said that all on her own and it really brought tears to my eyes. My 2 1/2 year old said that?!! Those 4 little words are what make my life as a SAHM totally worth it. Some days are very long and very demanding but my three kids are the loves of my life (and their daddy too) and I would do anything for any of them. Thank you, Allison, for making mommy feel so special. I love you!

Ethan - FIRST haircut - 14 months

I took Allison and Ethan to get their first haircuts last week. I took them to Sweet and Sassy Salon. Yes, Ethan went there too. Mark found out after the fact. My guess is that my son will be at a barber shop for his next cut! He did great!! Apparently, little boys don't do capes - makes them feel suffocated. Who knew? He only fussed a few times. I was so proud of him. He was super cute sitting in that big chair by himself!

before....

Not a big fan of having the sides cut.

What is this lady doing to me?

Hey Mommy, what do you think of this style?

and for the record, NO, he did not get sparkles or cupcake spray!! ;-)
It was tough to get an after shot of little man - he was hungry and tired. Doesn't it look great!

And this was Ethan when we got home. A big difference between him and Allison (see below).

After - The back. This was the next morning. I had forgotten to get one earlier! Such a big boy!

AFTER - Ethan and Allison

Allison - FIRST haircut - 30 months

Allison did wonderful! She was very anxious at first and wouldn't let go of the chair handles. We had to give her a stuffed animal to hold out in her front to keep her shoulders down. I was so proud of her. She even got "sparkles" in her hair and some cupcake spray. I am still smelling it 4 days later! And still finding glitter on her scalp. I wish we would have taken a little bit more off, but it looks so healthy and still has her natural layers in it. Such a big girl.....my sweet princess!

so serious.

Admiring themselves in the mirror. Em got to get "sparkles" too and cupcake spray, of course!

Always have to get glitter stars and hearts!

and this was her when we got home. The long lollipop stick looks like an oxygen cannula!
