Easter Eggs and Springtime Fun!

I finally braved Easter egg dyeing yesterday after school. Nana, Aunt Karen and Uncle Ted came over to watch the fun. The girls were super pumped while I was letting the color tablets dissolve and getting everything ready outside. They were able to concentrate for about 2 eggs and then they had other things to do that kept them occupied. It was fun, and surprisingly, not too messy. We all managed to stay clean.....good thing, since I forgot to change their clothes. The adults finished the rest of the 18 eggs. I had a bad case of the "drops" and managed to break/crack about 5 of them. Oh well, Easter is in less than a week. Enjoy all the pictures and hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather. We are!!

Allison wanted to paint everything! and Ethan is wondering what in the world is going on and why he can't participate!
Emily looking pretty and Ethan still trying to get free!
Here's the table once we got started......
And the finished project. The other 3 were being nicely (squeezed) handled by 2 happy kids!
Emily is concentrating so hard on finding her egg.
There it is!!
Showing off her striped egg.
Allison showing me one of her eggs.
Look at my striped egg! (love the expression!)
Emily and Allison sitting with their eggs! They look really excited ;-)
I LOVE my girls!

Allison showing me her "broke" egg. I think I actually dropped it...oops!
Ethan was outside enjoying the beautiful weather too!
A nice cold drink.....
Now this is fun, Uncle Ted.

My BIG Boy!

Over spring break Ethan started eating. Not all baby food, but "finger" foods. He loves cheerios, puffs, graham crackers, and now the Gerber butter cookies. Just thought I'd post a few pictures of him after dinner tonight. I went on a girls beach trip this past weekend. Mark was home with all 3 kids. They are all still alive and happy, so daddy must have done an excellent job! While I was gone, my baby boy got his first tooth. The girls were much later getting theirs so I was super excited. Another first......coming up.......:-)

SO GOOD!
......look who is trying to crawl!! He is 10 months now and this is early for us too (both girls were already a year old before they started). Most kids are already cruising or walking by this age, but we're just excited he's doing the rocking motion BEFORE he's one! So proud of my sweet Ethan!

Make Way for Thomas

Ok, so it's only been a few hours since my last post and now I need a pontoon boat to get around here! This rain is crazy! My sweet son was left out this morning so I took some pictures of him tonight after his bath. He is in his new "big-boy" pjs. Daddy's not a big fan of Thomas, but he's not here. And he wasn't there when I bought them. So.... I think he looks like such a little boy now. He has grown so much in the last 2 weeks. I will be purchasing an entire new wardrobe for him tomorrow! Enjoy!!

His fave toy of the day ;-)
being silly....

Two little piggies....

I'm going to need a canoe or maybe a paddle boat to get out of the house today. Where are you spring? Emily asked for a ponytail today for school. Then Allison wanted one too. I decided to do pigtails for her. Emily changed her mind and wanted pigtails too. So, I had two little piggies going to school in the rain!! Little brother was just chilling out in his jumparoo, laughing at his silly sisters.

Can you tell which one takes after her daddy and LOVES mornings? Can you tell which one takes after her mommy and would rather still be in the bed?? ;-)

Only me....

The girls wanted to ride in the "bike" stroller. Me being the good mom that I am, decided that was a good idea. I got it out of the garage. It was flattened for storage. I got it put together. After many minutes trying to get the handle unlocked, I finally figured it out. The kids got in all ready to go. There were no wheels. Um, why didn't I notice that before I wasted all that brain power getting it set up? That's because I'm me. Those things only happen to me. Yes, I am that smart!! The girls had a blast just sitting in it and buckling and unbuckling the straps. What really made my day was when Emily and Allison (both, at separate times) said that if DADDY was here, he could do it. Yea, yea I know. Daddy can do everything. If only Emily weren't old/smart enough to let everyone know about this......

He really wanted a nap! Poor little man!

Spring Fever has hit!

Today was the prettiest day we've had this year. It was sunny and 72 degrees. Perfect. We spent all afternoon outside playing, writing with chalk on the driveway, and having a picnic. After all the fresh air today, bed time was a breeze!! Oh, how I wish the weather was like this ALL the time!

Sweet girls sharing their snacks.
Allison didn't want anyone to touch her graham crackers. I made the picnic snacks for all of us, me included. I didn't get much. Ha!
I love this photo. It has so much personality in it. My sweet babies!

Plants!

After almost 3 years of ZERO landscape, we now have plants!! Mark worked his tail off this past Saturday digging, planting, and digging some more. It looks wonderful! Now to get shutters and to put a sign in the front yard...,.

Ethan doesn't stand a chance against the Disney princesses. Emily's new thing is to pose with her brother or sister and say "take our picture." Super cute!
