The meteorologists were right this time - we got a little over 4 inches of snow. It was not doing anything at 0845 this morning while taking the kids to school. We looked outside at 1015 and it was snowing like crazy. By 1045 we had already gotten an inch. Mark and I got all the calls that school was closing at 1100 - which meant 2 lost hours for us to get things done. The girls were so excited when we were walking to the car. They did get to have their Valentine parties but there were rushed and super early. LOTS of candy and treats sent home. Ethan had his 9 month checkup at 1:00. They called to see if we could come in by 1130......I dropped the girls off in the garage with Mark and headed to the pediatrician's. He did great. Mark and I took the kids to the mall for lunch and playtime at the bookstore. Then back home for naptime and fun in the snow! I think Daddy might have had the most fun ;o)!!
This was about noon - we had much more fall during the next few hours.
And here is the Snowman of the Year!! Check out his sippy cup lids, tool belt and yes, the green onion! Emily was so proud of this one.....she named him "Daddy."Eating snow!! and it wasn't the yellow kind!!
The first sled ride of the day! Emily was really way more excited than she looks and Allison never really quit making this look. She would rather be viewing the action from the window - in a warm house (like her mommy).
Emily running home!
